This is an entry-level class. No previous Aromatherapy training is required!
The ACP is designed to prepare students to become qualified professionals in the the therapeutic uses of Essential Oils.
Anyone may attend but most students are interested in developing a new career in what has become a rapidly growing complimentary healthcare profession.
Many students want to enhance their existing practice through the uses of Essential Oils including, Massage Therapists, Acupuncturists, and Esthetician to name a few.
Students learn through a fun, intensive program taught in a relaxed, nurturing environment with lots of hands-on activities. In this course, students learn the therapeutic uses of 60 essential oils and how to safely use them at home and/or professionally.
Topics Covered: Essential Oil Study, History of Essential Oils, Methods of Extraction, Methods of Application, safety and Contraindications, Consultation Skills, Oil Quality, Blending Techniques, Methods of Absorption, Carrier Oils, Treatment Design, Business Skills, Ethics, Basic Aroma Chemistry and Botany.

Certification: Aromatherapy Certification Program was established in May 2000, the course is approved by the National Association for Holistic Aromatherapy (NAHA) and the Alliance of International Aromatherapists (AIA), the two governing bodies for national education standards for Aromatherapy.
In order to receive the Essential Elements School of Aromatic Studies certification, approved by NAHA and AIA, Students must: complete all elements of the ACP and complete the online Anatomy and Physiology class (included in the tuition of the ACP and available upon registration). If you have previous training in Anatomy and Physiology you may take the multiple-choice final exam for your credit. We recommend completion of your Anatomy and Physiology class requirements prior to course start date.

This class is approved for 90 Continuing Education Hours for Florida Massage & Acupuncture.
